Cita James

Originally from Oklahoma City, OK, Soror James was initiated through the Iota Omicron chapter at the University of Central Oklahoma in the spring of 2004. Soror James, is the UKAC Corresponding Secretary, and Chair of PR, Tech, and Comms.

Soror James arrived in the UK June 2023 and currently works as a HR Business Partner in the tech industry. She is responsible for providing strategic people support for the Research and Development and Customer Support business segments for the UK & Dubai.

Soror James is a DEI advocate and has participated and hosted panel discussions regarding Black Women in Tech and Women’s International Month. Since joining the chapter, she has had the opportunity to lead/co-lead several initiatives to include the Christmas Hamper Project and Menopause Awareness event.

Cita enjoys being an expat and aside from living in London has also spent time living and working in Lisbon. She loves shopping, traveling the world, experiencing different cultures, and meeting new people along the way.
