United Kingdom Alumnae Chapter
Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., a private, not-for-profit organization, is dedicated to uplifting the Black community through strategic programs and initiatives. In the United Kingdom, our primary focus is the London metropolitan area, which is home to approximately 1.1 million Black individuals. Despite the progress made, there remains significant work to address the systemic inequalities faced by Black children and adults. As our chapter grows, so too will our reach, with the goal of expanding our impact to all ethnically diverse metropolitan areas across the UK.

Currently, the Black community in London continues to confront a range of challenges stemming from racial discrimination and socio-economic disparities, including:
• Elevated rates of unemployment and underemployment
• Lower educational attainment and graduation rates
• Higher poverty rates
• Poorer health outcomes
• Underrepresentation in political leadership
The UKAC stands ready to partner with local organisations, lean into communities, and lead the charge. We are resolute in our commitment to effect meaningful change, determined to break down barriers, and optimistic about our collective ability to foster equality and opportunity for future generations.
